Lagos builds tourists chalets in Badagry
The Lagos State Government has announced the construction of 68-bed tourist chalets in Badagry as part of efforts to boost the state’s hospitality sector and attract more visitors.
The Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by the Chief Executive Officer of AKWAABA Africa Travel Market, Ikechi Uko, to her office in Alausa, Ikeja.
She said the project was a major investment aimed at repositioning Lagos as Africa’s leading destination for leisure and cultural experiences.
“These significant projects are a way to reposition Lagos as Africa’s leading destination for tourism and leisure. The chalets will boost Badagry’s potential and brighten the image of Lagos tourism,” Benson-Awoyinka said.
