TechCabal’s Moonshot 2025 to shape the future of African tech in Lagos
By Awwal Owolabi

TechCabal, one of Africa’s leading technology publications, has announced the return of Moonshot, its flagship technology conference, scheduled to take place from October 15 to 16, 2025, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

Now in its third edition, Moonshot 2025 will run under the theme “Building Momentum”, bringing together influential voices across the continent’s tech landscape — from startup founders and investors to corporate executives and policymakers — to chart the next phase of Africa’s digital growth.

“The African tech ecosystem has proven its resilience and ingenuity, and now is the time to build sustainable momentum,” said Tomiwa Aladekomo, CEO of Big Cabal Media, publishers of TechCabal.

“With Moonshot, we are creating the definitive platform for the conversations that will shape the future. This year, we’re not just hosting an event; we’re architecting the future of African tech, together.”

Since its inception, Moonshot has drawn more than 6,500 participants across two editions, fostering cross-sector collaboration and driving discussions on innovation, investment, and inclusive growth across Africa’s technology ecosystem.

This year’s conference will feature nine content tracks, including dedicated sessions on Fintech, Venture Capital, Artificial Intelligence, Big Tech, and the Creator Economy. The agenda will include keynote addresses, interactive workshops, structured deal rooms for investors, and exclusive networking sessions designed to spark partnerships.

Industry support for Moonshot remains strong, with African fintech company Sabi returning as a headline sponsor for the third consecutive year. Other platinum sponsors include Raenest, Cardtonic, Roqqu, Opay, Busha, Fincra, Flutterwave, D4DHub, Interswitch, and Luno.

“Moonshot is the annual heartbeat of the African tech ecosystem, and we are proud to be part of it once again,” said Timi Oduoza, a key stakeholder at Sabi.

“It’s where the most important connections are made and where the future is decided. We are excited to help build lasting momentum for the entire continent.”
