Singer and activist Charly Boy has posted on X that he is looking for a wife for his 46-year-old son, who is due to return to Nigeria next month.
In the post, Charly Boy described his son as a master’s degree holder, 5ft 11ins tall, and “very humble,” and said the son had previously been married and divorced.
Charly Boy specified the social background and educational requirements he is seeking in a prospective partner.
“If you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me,” he wrote on the platform, adding a direct instruction about academic credentials.
“If you’re not an authentic graduate, don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria.”
In the same post, Charly Boy also conveyed concerns about his son’s caution toward relationships since the divorce.
“He is coming next month. He is a master’s degree holder, age 46. 5ft 11ins. Very humble. If you’re not an authentic graduate, don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria,” he wrote.
Earlier in the message he used Pidgin to appeal to followers: “My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman. Biko, if you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me.”
The post does not identify the son by name. Charly Boy’s message places particular emphasis on formal education and a modest family background as criteria for prospective partners, and it signals an intention to use social media as a channel for introductions ahead of the son’s return to the country.
