Topic: The Right Time To Have Your First Sexual Intercourse
Scripture:
"Now Adam had sexual relations with his wife, Eve, and she became pregnant. When she gave birth to Cain, she said, “With the Lord’s help, I have produced a man!” Genesis 4:1
THE PURE WORD
When Adam was created and placed in the Garden of Eden by God, he probably was seeing the animals mating; but it never induced his sexual desires towards perversion in form of mating with the animals. This shows that God actually created every human with the ability to control their sexual urges and refrain from all forms of sexual immorality and perversion.
For Adam, before Eve came into the scene, he knew this wasn't the right time to have anything to do with sexual pleasure, and he simply focused on other satisfying activities, particularly fulfilling purpose and working.
Eventually, God brought a wife to him, called Eve, then the man and his wife had their first sexual intercourse as husband and wife, within the boundaries of their marriage institution. "Now Adam had sexual relations with his wife, Eve, and she became pregnant. When she gave birth to Cain, she said, “With the Lord’s help, I have produced a man!” Genesis 4:1
So, you see that the right time to have your first sexual intercourse is when you are officially married to your own husband or wife (a member of the opposite sex), within your marriage union, with no other party involved. This is important because God's will for the acquisition of sexual pleasure is that all forms of sexual pleasure must only be shared between a man and his married wife in the safe confines of their marriage covenant, with no other party involved.
When people have their first sexual intercourse outside marriage, they often end up experiencing and dealing with various issues that extend far beyond the physical act itself. These consequences—emotional, spiritual, relational, and psychological—are rarely discussed in our culture's casual treatment of sexuality, yet they represent profound realities that countless individuals face all around the world.
God designed sexual intercourse to be a sacred act between a man and his wife for the actualization of certain divine purposes that extends the very physical pleasure itself. It helps enhance the bond between the man and his wife, and it blesses them with offspring that continues God's agenda on earth.
Confession:
I acknowledge that sex is a sacred act, designed by God for divine purposes. By His grace, I will honor and uphold its sanctity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
