- LASG reforms physical planning with digital system
The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Oluwole Sotire, has said the launch of the Lagos Electronic Physical Planning Process System will ease building approvals in the state.
Sotire said this during an interview with our correspondent on Saturday.
On November 14, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu launched the EPPPS, which he noted was “more than just a digital platform — it is a big step forward in how we manage land use, development, and urban growth in Lagos.”
The move came amid the state’s urbanisation drive and a series of demolitions of structures over the lack of approvals.
Sotire said the electronic system would reduce applicants’ complaints about the difficulties encountered in obtaining approval for landed properties in the state.
