NNPCL Unveils Production Monitoring Centre
The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), as part of efforts to achieve a two million barrels per day (2 million bpd) production target, has launched a 24-hour Production Monitoring Command Centre (PMCC) to allow real-time tracking of hydrocarbon molecules from production to export terminals and enhance efficiency across Joint Ventures (JVs) and Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs).
The Chief Corporate Communications Officer (CCCO) of NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye, in a statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune, said the PMCC initiative is driven by NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), to build on the success of the Command and Control Centre to enhance monitoring, operational efficiency, and production within the oil and gas sector.
