Osimhen to star in Turkish movie
Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has been tipped for a potential appearance in Turkish cinema after a light-hearted exchange with popular Turkish actor and director Şahan Gökbakar, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Galatasaray striker met with Gökbakar, who is widely known for his Recep İvedik film series. During their meeting, Osimhen asked if he might be given a chance in front of the camera. “Are you going to give me roles in movies?” he asked the actor.
Gökbakar responded affirmatively, telling the forward, “Of course.” He later fuelled speculation by sharing a post on social media in which he said Osimhen had expressed interest in acting.
“Osi Baba wanted a role in movies. Shall we make a surprise at Recep 8?” the actor wrote.
The post drew reactions online, including from Turkish pop singer Simge Sağın, who praised Osimhen’s character. She commented that he was “an incredibly good man” and wished him continued happiness.
