The Christian Association of Nigeria has mourned the death of the late Reverend Dr Uma Ukapi, describing the clergyman as a “towering figure in the Church in Nigeria.”
CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, in a message he signed on Monday, said the Association received the news with sadness, stating that Ukpai dedicated his life to preaching the gospel, nurturing faith, and advancing the cause of Christ, in a ministry that spanned over six decades.
Okoh added that generations of believers had been inspired by his message of faith, healing, and hope in Jesus Christ.
“The Christian Association of Nigeria has received with sadness the news of the passing of Reverend Dr Uma Ukpai, a renowned evangelist, teacher, and servant of God, who went to be with the Lord on 6th October 2025, at the age of 80.
