Progress update on Sokoto - Badagry Super Highway: Sokoto Section
The 1,068 km Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway is a major, ongoing Federal Government infrastructure project (awarded to Hitech Construction Company Ltd) intended to connect Sokoto (Northwest) to Badagry in Lagos (Southwest). The six-lane concrete project crosses seven states—Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos—designed to boost economic integration and agricultural trade.

Status & Construction: Construction is underway as of early 2026, with active work in the Kebbi (258 km section) and Ogun sections. Pavement work, including the use of Continually Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP), is in progress.
