The iPhone 17 series, including the Pro Max model, was officially announced by Apple on September 9, 2025, and released shortly after on September 19, 2025, making it the current flagship model. In Nigeria, retailers such as SLOT and JustFones have confirmed the availability and pricing of the new device.
The bride’s extravagant gesture has sparked significant online discussion, with many social media users expressing amazement at the level of wealth on display.
In Nigeria, the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at around ₦2,200,000 for the 256GB model and can go up to ₦4,950,000 for higher storage capacities, depending on the retailer and configuration.
Previously, a video also went viral showing some Nigerians pushing a cart full of money into an event arena to be sprayed. Such displays of wealth raise questions about where people are getting these funds, especially amid widespread reports of financial hardship in Nigeria.
