Outgoing Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta, Dr Adedamola Dada, says the sweeping migration of Nigerians including doctors and other medical personnel out of the country otherwise known as “japa syndrome” has not created any vacuum at the facility.
Dada, an orthopaedic surgeon, said the management has been hiring retired specialists like consultants and nurses to fill the gap of medical personnel who exited the country.
