Fintiri unveils electric tricycles assembled in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has celebrated the success of the state’s E-Mobility Initiative with the rollout of electric tricycles assembled in the capital, Yola.

Fintiri who described the initiative as a major step toward sustainable transportation and clean energy access, said, “The initiative marks the beginning of a transformational journey aimed at redefining energy access, transportation and investment opportunities across Adamawa.”

Scores of the vehicles assembled were on display during the ceremony which took place in Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola.

Fintiri recalled that the partnership that led to the vehicle assembling project began in March 2025 during an investor roundtable organised by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

Fintiri said the event enabled the state government to engage investors and showcase Adamawa’s economic potential, and that the engagement resulted in a partnership with A4&T Group on mini-grids, solar energy, and clean mobility infrastructure.
